   🚨 The 11 menu fonts above were curated under a "CYRILLIC-CAPABLE FONTS ONLY" rule so that every
   font rendered every menu language. Arabic breaks that invariant: NOT ONE of them ships a single

   📏 LINE BOXES THE SIZE OF THE PHONE'S OWN FONT (2026-09-21, owner on /d12 in Android Chrome: the
   menu chip and the category name band were half again taller than on his iPhone). Both Noto files
   carry huge vertical metrics: Sans normal line-height = 2.112em (hhea 1374/-738), Naskh = 1.703em,
   against ~1.2em for -apple-system and Roboto and 1.33em for Segoe UI. iPhone and Windows never
   load these files (their system fonts cover Arabic first in the stack), Android Chrome does (Roboto
   has no Arabic), so every `line-height: normal` box around Arabic text was 2.1x the font size there:
   measured on the merged build, chip 42px -> 56px, tile band 75px -> 99px. The three overrides below
   make the browser use 95% / 30% / 0 instead of the file's metrics, i.e. normal = 1.25em, between
   the iPhone's 1.19 and Windows' 1.33, so the same box comes out the same height on every phone.
